Age Eligibility & Minors Policy
Effective June 2026
The D.O.X Capital Services are intended for adults. The minimum age is 18.
1. Adult eligibility
Accounts, memberships, purchases, uploads, and consultations are intended for persons at least 18 years of age who can enter a binding contract. A younger person may not independently use them unless a verified and lawful parent or guardian flow expressly permits the activity.
2. Not directed to children
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not operate a child-directed program. An age statement does not eliminate duties if a service were child-directed or if D.O.X Capital had actual knowledge that it collected personal information from a child.
3. Neutral age screening
Where age screening is appropriate, we request the minimum information needed, such as an age band rather than a full birth date, unless a verified need justifies more. Any screen is neutral and does not encourage a person to misstate age, and we retain age evidence only for the documented period.
4. Parent or guardian authority
An adult submitting information about a minor represents that the adult has lawful authority and that the submission is necessary for the stated purpose. We may require proportionate verification. An adult's authority does not waive the child's rights or permit processing that law prohibits.
5. Teens and state privacy rights
Some states provide special rules for sale, sharing, targeted advertising, profiling, sensitive data, or consent involving users under 16, 18, or another age. We do not treat any single statute as the only minor law and do not assume parental consent cures every practice.
6. Uploads and third-party minor data
Where uploads are enabled, we instruct users not to submit a child's data unless the service specifically requests it and the user has lawful authority, and we apply heightened access, minimization, vendor, and retention controls. Health, education, biometric, precise-location, financial, and identity data require separate review.
7. AI and automated processing
We do not expose children or teens to an AI tool, profiling, emotional-dependence design, behavioral advertising, or consequential recommendation without age-appropriate design, safety review, disclosures, consent where required, and human escalation.
8. Marketing and design
We do not use manipulative prompts, urgency, rewards, or confusing defaults to obtain a minor's data or consent, and we do not condition a child's participation on collecting more information than reasonably necessary. Advertisements and endorsements are recognizable and age appropriate.
9. Parental and minor requests
A parent, guardian, or eligible minor may contact admin@thedoxs.com to ask about access, deletion, correction, withdrawal, or account closure. We authenticate identity and authority proportionately and apply the rights available under the applicable jurisdiction without collecting unnecessary additional data.
10. Discovery of ineligible use
If we learn that we collected information from an ineligible minor without a lawful basis, we will restrict access, investigate, notify as required, and delete or otherwise remediate the information subject to legal holds and lawful exceptions. Report concerns to admin@thedoxs.com.
